We went to the Overhead Door National office twice and tried to find old-style hinges. We were told the factory doesn’t manufacture them any more and the customer support Victoria Lee sent our request to old customers who purchased such hinges before. Unfortunately the old hinges were not found in their database and old customers’ stores. I think they tried their best to help us.

How do I test the reversing mechanism on my garage door opener?

Our expert technicians have a standard test for a garage door’s reversing mechanism. First, you should find even ground and place a 2″ x 4″ board where your door touches upon closing. If your door is working correctly, it should reverse within 2 seconds of hitting the wood after you attempt to close it.
